Tammy Jensen serves as the Office Manager for Peace. In 2001, she began helping in the office as a volunteer. Shortly thereafter, she was asked to work as the M-W-F part-time secretary. A year and a half later, she accepted the offer to serve as Peace's "first full-time" Office Manager. Her position supports the administrative needs of the four called staff, supervises the part-time secretary, oversees and coordinates the work of 14 office volunteers, and accommodates the on-going requests from the numerous, active Peace committees and organizations.
Tammy has a professional and academic background in business management and leadership. She has held the positions of Regional Administrator for a major IT consulting firm, coordinating the responsibilities of the Branch Administrators within a five-state region; Executive Administrative Assistant to the St. Louis Branch Manager of an international architectural firm; and Executive Assistant to the owner of a medical video productions company where she also coordinated their participation in multiple national medical conventions. Prior to Peace, Tammy worked with her husband, Jon, for ten years in their IT consulting firm. Serving as Vice President of Operations she developed and oversaw all aspects of the company's policies and procedures. In 1999, after growing the business they merged their company, with a Minneapolis firm, with hopes of expanding internationally. The merger ultimately resulted in their ability to pursue other professional avenues. Although Tammy's intention at that time was to seek a new path of employment in the secular world, God had another plan! Having come to faith later in life, Tammy fully appreciates and realizes that God's ways are not her own. "He kept putting Peace's office needs right back in my path. And, I'm so glad He did - working at Peace is such a blessing!" Tammy and her husband have been members at Peace Lutheran Church since 1998. They have five children and one grandchild.
